Pastoral Support / Behaviour Mentor

Value Education are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker / Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in the Bury area.
The successful candidate will work closely with students who may require additional support with their behaviour, attendance, engagement and emotional wellbeing. You will provide consistent pastoral support and help students to make positive choices both in and outside of the classroom.
The Role:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group pastoral and behavioural support
- Supporting students with challenging behaviour and emotional needs
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Working alongside teachers and the school's pastoral team
- Helping students to improve their behaviour, engagement and attendance
- Supporting pupils to develop positive coping strategies and social skills
- Following school behaviour policies and procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with young people in a school, youth, care or support setting
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient and consistent in your approach
- Able to build strong relationships with secondary-aged students
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting young people
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education, youth work, behaviour or pastoral support are desirable
