Age group: Flexible

Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)

Start date: November (dependant on references and DBS)

We are currently working with a fantastic primary school within the Blackburn area that are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join them from November.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, supporting children with additional needs, and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.

Teaching Assistant Duties:

• Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
• Assist with group activities
• Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
• Tailor lesson plans to individual needs
• Work inside and outside the classroom
• Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher
• Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate

Requirements:

• Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
• Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
• Implementing and supporting positive behaviour throughout the school
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Experience working with SEND (preferred)
• Full UK Driving License (preferred)
