£93 - £105 per day
Secondary Mainstream School
Temporary to Permanent contract
Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bolton.
The successful candidate will support students across KS3 and KS4, helping to ensure every young person can reach their full potential — academically, socially, and emotionally.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a difference in young people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to students in and out of the classroom, including small group and 1:1 interventions.
- Work alongside teaching staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support students with additional needs to access the curriculum effectively.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent and supportive relationships.
- Assist in preparing and adapting learning materials and classroom resources.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Requirements
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting young people in an educational setting (secondary experience desirable).
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to working with students.
