We are seeking a caring and motivated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs. You will be working in a Secondary School setting in the Bury area.
The Role
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
· Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, both in and outside the classroom.
· Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and learning materials to suit individual needs.
· Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
· Help to implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
· Work closely with teachers, SENCO, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the best possible support.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
· Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
· Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
· Flexible, resilient, and proactive in supporting learning and behaviour.
· Ideally experienced in working with children with SEN.
